“Democracy is best form of government”, says RSS leader Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi

“There has been one huge problem in the current century. Unfortunately, the things which continued from ancient times became weak in the current era

Nagpur: RSS general secretary Suresh ‘Bhaiyyaji’ Joshi on Friday said that even if democracy has its flaws, it is the best form of government. He said that despite the Constitution giving rights to people, they are indifferent towards their duties.

Joshi was addressing at the inauguration of a new building of a co-operative bank, he said, “In a democracy there are governments. In Indian democracy, the government has huge powers and this power is created by society. If we look at the ruling patterns around the world, democracy has the least number of flaws. It is not that democracy does not have flaws and democracy is the best system to rule,”.

The strength of democracy lies in the awakened people. “If the common man is awakened, then democracy also succeeds,”. Social life, not just run by rights, but also on duties and there is a need to ignite this feeling of duty.”

“There has been one huge problem in the current century. Unfortunately, the things which continued from ancient times became weak in the current era. “Constitution has given every individual right, but in this written Constitution it has not been mentioned very well about the duties of the people who have rights and people remain indifferent towards their duties”.

Former Maharashtra CM and Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Devendra Fadnavis was also present there on the occasion. Speaking about him, Joshi said, “It is not the fate of Fadnavis to be in the post of leader of the opposition for a long time.”

He added, “The position of former CM, is short-lived and both these positions are short-lived. Ups and downs are part of democracy and it keeps happening, will continue to happen,”.
