Fadnavis in his letter to CM Thackeray demands strict actions against Tablighi Jamaat. He also wrote the hike in cases in India is due to Tablighi’s event
MUMBAI| On Tuesday Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis wrote a letter to the current Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray demanding strict actions against the Tablighi Jamaat amid Coronavirus Pandemic and also to provide doctors and nurses with adequate protective gears.
Devendra Fadnavis in his letter reminds CM Thackeray there is an inadequate supply of food grains and essential commodities in a few corners of the state. People complain about the absents of daily essentials as per their need. Masses below the poverty line are suffering the most. Knowing the fact Central Government have released three months ration in advance and Maharashtra has received 90% approval, yet there are issues in the availability of food grains. In India, 16 states government have allowed ration to the people who don’t have ration cards. If people don’t have ration cards consider Aadhar cards and approve them with sufficient ration. Even if they don’t have Aadhar cards create a datasheet and provide them with adequate food.
Devendra Fadnavis in his letter also demanded the safety of the doctors and medical staff working in the frontline and taking care of COVID-19 patients. The hospitals are not clean and sanitation is not satisfactory. Fadnavis ask to push efforts in the direction to provide sufficient safety kits to the medical staff.

Fadnavis further added, the state government should not spare people who participated in the Delhi event. The people came from Tablighi are spread across the nation. The people who attended the event and the people whom they came in contact with should be punished. The number India holds of COVID-19 majority are due to the Tablighi event in Delhi, this attitude cannot be spared. As its, a major issue and state government should be focusing on it showing its solidity while handling this pandemic.
