Devendra Fadnavis to meet Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, day after they broke ties

A closed-door discussion to be held between Thackeray Fadnavis at 7 pm

Maharastra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has scheduled a meeting with Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday. The meeting was placed soon after the Shiv Sena leaders decided to run the election alone. They are not ready to reunite with the BJP. Thackeray is going to meet at the CM’s residence. This will probably be the first time that the duo will meet after such attempt was taken by the Sena.

The two will have a closed-door discussion in the meeting. The meeting has been scheduled at 7 pm. The main issue of the meeting would be Nannar Oil.

The disagreement for the Nannar Oil Refinery Coastal Maharashtra’s Ratnagiri district is the reason for the two old NDA allies to meet. Uddhav Thackeray’s office has said that he will meet the CM, along with the local residents from Nannar for their full support.

Shiv Sena Member of Parliament (MP) Sanjay Raut had recently said in a meeting, “In Jammu and Kashmir, soldiers are being killed on a daily basis, even hospitals are being attacked. But we talk about fritters (pakoda) here.”

Though the BJP have distanced themselves from the ally, Shiv Sena had taken potshots at the Modi government over other issues ranging from rising unemployment, to a series of terrorist attacks and the saffron party’s ‘pakoda’ politics and demonetisation.

However, the Shiv Sena party has now set its mind on working for the upcoming elections single-handedly.
