The only election rally of Sonia Gandhi ahead of Haryana Assembly election cancelled

Due to her health issues, she rarely attends the party’s election campaignings. Sonia Gandhi has been aloof from the public eye.

New Delhi| Congress’s interim president Sonia Gandhi’s rally in Mahendragarh, Haryana has been cancelled. Instead, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will address this public meeting. This was the only rally of Sonia Gandhi to be held in the Assembly Elections of Maharashtra and Haryana.

There are speculations that owing to Sonia Gandhi’s deteriorating health the rally was cancelled. Due to her health issues, she rarely attends the party’s election campaignings. In the last few years, Sonia Gandhi has been aloof from the public eye. Her public appearance are also rare. The entire front of campaigning was handled by Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha elections. Voting in Haryana and Maharashtra is scheduled on October 21 and the election campaigning will end on Saturday. With just a few days left in hand, parties are pulling all stops in the campaign. Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi has been campaigning in both states continuously for the last few days.

What is the equation of Mahendragarh region?

The place where Mrs Gandhi had to address the election meeting is the stronghold of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Mahendragarh district has a total of 4 assembly seats, including Mahendragarh, Attali, Nangal Chaudhary and Narnaul seats. All these four seats are currently with the BJP.
