Every vote counts: CEC Sunil Arora

New Delhi | Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora after casting his vote in Delhi at Nirman Bhawan polling station, asserted that every vote counts.

Talking to the media after getting inked, Sunil Arora said on the pink booth, “It was a good experience to vote in a pink booth. Delhi CEO has functioned very effectively”.

“Every vote counts. I appeal the voters to vote ethnically and fearlessly”.

When asked about the Oppositions accusations that the Election Commission is biased, he responded,”I will not speak on the matter until May 23″.

Various political leaders like Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, mother Sonia Gandhi were seen voting.

Sheila Dikshit, Ajay Maken, Gautam Gambhir, among others were also seen voting at their respective booths.

Polling is underway across 59 parliamentary constituencies in the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha Elections.

The last phase will be on May 19.

The results of the counting will be declared on May 23.
