Five-time MLA Dinesh Gundu Rao takes over as Karnataka Congress chief

Bengaluru | Five-time MLA Dinesh Gundu Rao on Wednesday took over as the Chief of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Commitee. Rao was feciliated by Congress legislative party leader and former Chief Minster Siddaramaiah.

Adressinng the party workers after his appointment Dinesh Rao said, “I thank Shri Rahul Gandhi for giving me this important responsibility. We will all work unitedly and strengthen Karnataka Congress at the grassroot level.” He further added that, “He has given clear instructions to ensure that the programs of our Government and ideological principles of the party reach common people.”


Attacking the Narendra Modi government, Rao said, “India is under the grip of fear under the Modi Govt. Our main focus is to defeat the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. I promise to standby and strengthen the Congress party and empower congress cadre.”

Along with the appointment of Dinesh Rao,the Congress party has appointed Eshwar Khandre as the Working President of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committe.
