Floor Test in Maharashtra to be held on 27th November: Supreme Court

Floor Test should take place before 5 PM and the proceedings shall be live telecast Supreme Court order

 

NEW DELHI| On Tuesday Supreme Court understanding the Maharashtra Political Situation ordered a floor test on November 27. BJP who claims to have the number of 170 MLA’s has to project tomorrow the majority on which they have claims to form the government by 30 November.

Supreme Court ordered floor test will have to be held before 5 pm and there will be no secret ballot. A pro tem speaker will swear in the newly elected lawmakers.

All parties will now need to make submissions within eight weeks, as issues regarding the judicial review of the Governor’s decision remain.

The Supreme Court’s decision will be seen as a win for the Shiv Sena, the Nationalist Congress Party and the Congress, the three members of an opposition alliance called the Maha Vikas Aghadi. Soon reaction started making lines. For the Supreme Court’s order, everyone was waiting for now declared has buckle all four major parties.
