TMC to start ‘BJP hatao, desh bachao’ campaign on August 15

Kolkata | West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday announced that Trinamool Congress will start a nation-wide ‘BJP hatao, desh bachao’ campaign on August 15.

Addressing the TMC’s annual Martyrs’ Day rally in Kolkata’s Esplanade, Mamata Banerjee announced ‘BJP hatao, desh bachao’ campaign on August 15. “2019 will be a big blow, Bengal will show the path,” she added.

Mamata Banerjee also announced that Bhartiya Janta Party leader and former Rajya Sabha MP Chandan Mitra has joined Trinamool Congress. Along with Chandan Mitra, former CPM MP Moinul Hasan, Congress’ Sabina Yasmin and Mizoram advocate-general Biswajit Deb have joined the party.

Criticising the BJP led Central government over the increasing cases of Mob lynching cases in India, Mamata Banerjee said, “The way lynching is happening every where in the country, they are creating Talibanis among people. In BJP & RSS, there are good people whom I respect but some are playing dirty games”.
