Giriraj Singh hits out at Nitish’s Iftar Party, asks him to follow his “dharma”‘

New Delhi | Union Minister Giriraj Singh slammed the BJP allies in Bihar- Janata Dal (United) AND Lok Janshakti Party for hosting Iftar parties.

Giriraj Singh, who is known for his no-filter comments took a jibe amid the growing uneasiness between the two parties and JDU Chief Nitish Kumar refused a Cabinet position for his party for not being given enough representation.

Nitish Kumar even expanded his cabinet, including eight JDU ministers and leaving only one position for the BJP.

Singh’s Hindi tweet translates to, “How beautiful the pictures would have been if fruit only feasts were organised during Navratri with similar affection? Why do we fall behind when it comes to our own practices and religion and ahead in showoff?”

The accompanying photos feature Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi of the BJP and allies Nitish Kumar, Ram Vilas Paswan and his son Chirag Paswan.

They are seen celebrating the occasion in white kurtas and cap.

Janata Dal United spokesperson Sanjay Singh said that Singh needs a “mental checkup”.

Chairman of LJP Chirag Paswan also hit at Giriraj Singh, “Everyone knows the kind of man Giriraj Singh is. But we would like to tell him that we observe all festivals, be it Navratri or Ramzan.”

BJP and JDU contested Lok Sabha elections in Bihar together on 17 seats each.

Giriraj Singh was recently sworn-in as the Union Minister or Animal Husbandry, Dairy and Fisheries in PM Modi’s new cabinet.
