Satya pal Malik also added that the situation in PoK is very bad. “The people of PoK do not want to live there. Imran wants to provoke the people of PoK,” he said.

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik on Saturday revealed what Prime Minister Narendra Modi told him before he took charge as the governor of the state. He was speaking at a program organized during the inauguration of a government hospital. He said PM Modi told him that the state of Jammu and Kashmir developed to an extent that even the people living in PoK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir) will want to come to this side of the border.

Satya pal Malik also added that the situation in PoK is very bad. “The people of PoK do not want to live there. Imran wants to provoke the people of PoK,” he said. Along with this, he also reiterated the commitment of development of Jammu and Kashmir. He said, “Jammu and Kashmir have to be developed, which will definitely happen.”

“Elected Government didn’t work for the state’s development”:

Satya pal Malik said on Saturday that even the elected government did not do as much work as the Jammu and Kashmir administration has done in the last year. The Governor said, “In the eyes of the country the Governor is the one who plays golf, does nothing for the public. During his tenure, he only relaxes. But I do not think as much work as we have done, has been undertaken by any elected government.”

“Protection for Apple Farmers”:

Earlier on Thursday Satya pal Malik had warned those who threaten apple farmers in Kashmir. Malik said, “We will protect the farmers and give them protection. Immediate action will be taken against those who are threatening the farmers.”

The Governor was addressing people on the occasion of the launch of Market Intervention Target Scheme for apple farmers in Srinagar. Under this, procurement of apples will be done at remunerative prices from farmers through the Central Government’s Nodal Procurement Agency or NAFED.
