Himachal: Congress Reprimands Vikramaditya Singh Over Eateries Order

Himachal

The Congress high command summoned and reprimanded Himachal Pradesh minister Vikramaditya Singh over a controversial diktat mandating food outlets across the state to display the name and address of their owners. The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government had issued a similar order during the Kanwar Yatra.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, the minister said: โ€œIn Himachal, the ownerโ€™s ID will be installed in the restaurants and fast food joints of rail-holders so that people do not face any kind of problem. For this, instructions were issued at the URBAN DEVELOPMENT & MUNICIPAL CORPORATION meeting yesterday. Jai Shri Ram.โ€
