New Delhi| BJP MP from Himachal Pradesh Ram Swaroop Sharma was found dead in Delhi under suspicious circumstances. According to the police, his staff called and reported it. According to the police, he was found hanging from the ceiling and the door was locked from inside. He is believed to have died by suicide. On the other hand, after the news of his death, Union Minister of State for Finance Anurag Singh Thakur arrived at his Delhi residence. The meeting of the BJP Parliamentary Party scheduled to be held today (Wednesday) has been cancelled due to his death.

Sharma was an MP from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh and was a veteran leader of the state. Ram Swaroop Sharma had been elected to the Lok Sabha in the 2019 general election. Earlier in 2014, he also won the Lok Sabha elections from Mandi.
Ram Swaroop was also associated with RSS
Ramswaroop Sharma was born on 10 June 1958. He was a Member of Parliament from Joginder Nagar Parliamentary Lok Sabha seat in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. He was the organizing secretary of Mandi District BJP and later Himachal Pradesh State BJP. He also served as the vice-chairman of Himachal Pradesh State Food and Civil Supplies Corporation. He was an active member of RSS. He won the Mandi Lok Sabha seat in 2014 against Congress’s Pratibha Singh by a margin of 39,796 votes.
Sharma Was Said To Be in Depression Due To Illness
Ramswaroop Sharma had a heart problem. He underwent angioplasty. It is being said that he was in depression for a few days due to his illness. Ramswaroop used to describe himself as Sudama of Modi, he also made Mandi popular as “Chhoti Kashi”. He worked at the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) until 1985 and was also a Kabaddi player. It was during this time that he joined the RSS and became a pracharak. He then got a BJP ticket in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
