New Delhi: The Delhi Police has made a big disclosure on Tuesday about Tahir Hussain, a councilor suspended from the Aam Aadmi Party, facing charges of inciting violence. Police said Tahir was not rescued from his home on the night of 24-25 February. Police had received information that the councilor was trapped in his own house. However, after investigation, it was found that he is safe in his house. Tahir had earlier claimed that he had come out of the house in Karawal Nagar with the help of police during the riots. His house was then captured by the rioters.
After the violence, the roof of his house was found with brick-stone, slingshot and items that could be used for violence. Acid was kept in his house filled with bottles. Aam Aadmi Party suspended Tahir from the party after being accused of involvement in the riot.
