“India has lost its reputation and image in the world” says Rahul Gandhi

Rahul Gandhi said if old parameters are considered, India’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is growing only at 2.5 percent, which is shameful

Jaipur: Attacking on the Modi government at the Centre, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday accused Narendra Modi of spoiling India’s image, putting off investors and requested the youth not to let their voice be suppressed.

“The reputation and image that India had in the world were that it is a nation of brotherhood, love and unity, while Pakistan was known for hatred and divisiveness. This image of the country has been damaged by Narendra Modi,” Rahul Gandhi said as he addressed ‘Yuva Aakrosh’ rally in Jaipur on Tuesday. Rahul Gandhi added, “Today our country is called the rape capital of the world”.

Rahul Gandhi said if old parameters are considered, India’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is growing only at 2.5 percent, which is shameful.

“During UPA’s regime, the growth rate was 9 percent. Narendra Modi government has slowed the growth rate by changing the calculation system. According to the system, the growth rate is 5 percent. If it is calculated by the system prevailing during UPA, it is 2.5 percent. It is shameful,” Rahul Gandhi said.

While addressing the rally organised to highlight the issues of economic slowdown and unemployment.
in the country, Rahul Gandhi said one crore people lost jobs in 2019 when the PM Modi promised to create two crore opportunities. “He had promised to create two crore jobs but instead of that one crore people lost their jobs last year,”.

“The youngsters in India know the condition of the nation. Our country has the best talent in the world. The entire nation believes that youth can transform the world but today their talent is being wasted. This government and PM Narendra Modi is wasting the talent,” the former Congress president said.

As Gandhi said that the Modi government should be questioned on unemployment, Rahul Gandhi asked people not to let anyone suppress their voice. “Don’t let your voice be suppressed; ask questions on unemployment, India’s future,” Rahul Gandhi told youth at Jaipur rally.
