IT Minister RS Prasad, Javadekar & Health Minister Harshvardhan Quit Before Shuffle

Ravi Shankar Prasad was Minister for Law and Electronics and IT and had lately been locked in a bitter feud with social media companies, mainly Twitter, over new IT rules. Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar’s resignation is also a big surprise because he was the government’s spokesperson and a face at all government briefings.

IT and Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, I&B Minister Prakash Javadekar, and Health Minister Harshvardhan have resigned from the Union cabinet springing up a major surprise just before the big shuffle in the cabinet.

In a press communique issued on Wednesday evening, the President has accepted the resignation of other Union cabinet ministers Babul Suproyo, Santosh Gangwar, Rattan Lal Kataria among others.
