Bengaluru | Contradicting the weeks of heavy drama when the JD(S) was absolutely against the saffron party, in a surprising move, they are now convincing Kumaraswamy to extend support to BJP.
After a meeting of the MLAs at a hotel in the city where Kumaraswamy is currently staying, some members of the party were ready to be in the Opposition whereas some wished to support the BJP.
Former minister GT Deve Gowda said after the meeting, “We unanimously decided to leave the decision up to Kumaraswamy. He will take a call on this”.
The move comes after BJP Karnataka’s long-time face BS Yediyurappa had taken an oath to become a Chief Minister on Friday.
