Journalist Present at Kamal Nath’s Last Presser Tests Positive for Coronavirus

Other journalists who were present during the press conference, in which Kamal Nath announced his resignation from the CM post, told to self-isolate.

Bhopal| A journalist who was present at Kamal Nath’s last press conference as Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh has now tested positive for Covid-19. Kamal Nath had announced in the same presser that he’ll be stepping down as a Chief Minister of the state.

The daughter of the journalist had tested positive earlier for coronavirus, which has now infected hundreds of people across the country and killed 11.

Other journalists who were present at the press conference have been asked to self-isolate themselves in order to avoid possible transmission.

Prime Minister Modi announced a complete lockdown of 21 days across the country in light of efforts taken to contain the spread of the virus.

The virus, the erupted in China’s Hubei province, wreaked havoc in Wuhan city. It is suspected that the people who flew out of Wuhan to different parts of the world amid the outbreak have acted as a carrier for the virus.

The coronavirus has taken around 18,000 lives across the world, 6000 in Italy only.

While many empowered countries with advance medical infrastructure are struggling to cope with the spread of virus, India faces a huge challenge with its limited resources and mediocre health facilities compared to other developed countries.
