Karnataka: JDS Withdraws From Ally BJPโ€™s Padayatra In State

Union Minister and JD(S) Chief HD Kumaraswamy said the party was withdrawing from its ally BJPโ€™s padayatra . Kumaraswamy said his party wasnโ€™t consulted and that this wasnโ€™t the right time for the padayatra. The saffron partyโ€™s padayatra is in connection to alleged irregularities in the Mysore Urban Development Authority.

Parts of the Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha building were flooded following heavy rains. A corridor, entrance used by MLAs were among the affected areas after two-hour rain spell. This comes as the Monsoon Session of the Assembly is ongoing. The Vidhan Sabha and Legislative Council were, however, unaffected.
