Bangalore: The Bharat Jodo Yatra is all set to reach through Chamarajanagar district. The yatra will reach the state on September 30. Ahead of the party yatra’s arrival, posters put up welcoming Rahul Gandhi were torn in the state’s Gundlupet area, India Today reported.

According to the report, Congress has accused BJP workers of tearing the posters of Rahul Gandhi and other leaders in the region. The posters were put up on the highway passing through Gundlupet.

Meanwhile, the Bharat Jodo Yatra has reached its last leg in Kerala. On September 29, it resumed from Kerala’s Nilambur. The Yatra started on September 7 and is on its 22nd day.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra will be for Congress leaders fighting against the ruling BJP in Karnataka. Talking to India Today, political analyst Sandeep Shastri said, “The yatra is a Congress movement to reassert its presence nationally and in Karnataka. They have a straight fight with the BJP. It became even more critical for the Karnataka Congress. The yatra is vital for the state as it will help cement Congress’s reputation as a formidable Opposition.”
