After the shocking downslide of BJP in the UP bypoll, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has taken a subtle dig at UP CM Yogi Adityanath.
The humiliating defeat in UP Bypoll elections and Bihar Bypoll elections does not seem to stop haunting the BJP and UP CM Yogi Adityanath. After the historic win of BJP in 2017 in UP Assembly Elections, Yogi Adityanath had become a star campaigner of the party in various assembly elections including Gujarat, Tripura and Karnataka.
Karnataka where Congress is ruling the state, Yogi Adityanath directly targeted Chief Minister Siddaramaiah calling him “Anti-Hindu”. Siddaramaiah too hit back at his comments calling the upcoming Karnataka Assembly Elections a battle between “Communalism” and “Secularism”.
Yogi Adityanath had also appealed the Karnataka voters to choose who they want to vote-those who worship hanuman or those who worship Tipu Sultan. However, after the shocking downslide in all the UP Bypoll, Karnataka Chief Minister has taken a subtle dig at the BJP.
BJP has suffered humiliating loss in the Lok Sabha seats held by the CM & DyCM of UP. Congratulations to SP & BSP for this historic victory. Unity among the non-BJP parties has played a key role.
Perhaps Yogi Adityanath should spend less time lecturing Karnataka on development.

Karnataka Chief Minister in a tweet called the defeat of BJP in UP bypoll as a “humiliating” one. He said, “BJP has suffered a humiliating loss in the Lok Sabha seats held by the CM & DyCM of UP. He also congratulated the victorious parties and hailed Unity of opposition. Siddaramaiah said, “Congratulations to SP & BSP for this historic victory. Unity among the non-BJP parties has played a key role.”
However, he also did not miss the chance to throw shade at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He said, “Perhaps Yogi Adityanath should spend less time lecturing Karnataka on development.”
The Upcoming Karnataka Assembly elections are crucial for both BJP and Congress. While Congress has to retain one of the only few states where it is ruling, BJP wants to continue its victory march in South by winning the state.
