KCR Show Strength In Rally Against BJP As Hyderabad Poster Battle Tightens

KCR

While the BJP displayed cut-outs and banners highlighting the accomplishments of the federal government, the TRS displayed posters of KCR and Yashwant Sinha.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, is witnessing two significant demonstrations of force today.

While Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present at the BJPโ€™s two-national executive meeting, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), the stateโ€™s ruling party, has scheduled a demonstration on behalf of Yashwant Sinha, the oppositionโ€™s nominee for president.

Just a few hours before the Prime Minister arrives at the very same terminal, Yashwant Sinha will be hailed by TRS president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao at the Begumpet airport.

Afterward, Mr. Sinha and K. Chandrashekar Rao will lead a motorcycle parade from the airport to Jal Vihar, where a conference in support of Mr. Sinhaโ€™s candidacy has been prepared.

Sinha will also meet with AIMIM & Congress Officials separately to garner support for his presidency polls to be held on the 18th of this month.

A poster war has broken out on the cityโ€™s streets. While the BJP displayed cutouts and banners highlighting the accomplishments of the national government, the TRS exhibited posters of KCR and Yashwant Sinha.

The protocol of receiving the PM by Mr. Rao was not held three times in the last six months. He had previously traveled to Bengaluru when PM Modi visited the region in May to take part in the Indian School of Businessโ€™ 20th-anniversary festivities.

When the Prime Minister visited Hyderabad in February to formally unveil the โ€œStatue of Equality,โ€ Mr. Rao chose not to meet with him.

BJP national president JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Ministers of 19 states, and other top BJP officials will participate in the two-day BJP national executive conference, the partyโ€™s primary judgment bodyโ€™s first physical gathering outside the nationโ€™s capital in five years.

The Prime Minister will deliver a talk to the general people during a rally on Sunday in Hyderabad at the Parade grounds.
