Javadekar’s statement comes a few days after the Election Commission issued a notice to Parvesh Verma for his remark about Kejriwal
New Delhi: A few days back Parvesh Verma sparked controversy by calling Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal a “terrorist”, and know the BJP MP’s is getting backing from its statement by none other than union minister Prakash Javadekar, who not only repeated claimed but also added that there was ‘plenty of evidence’ to prove it.
“Arvind Kejriwal is now questioning, ‘am I a terrorist?’ Kejriwal is a terrorist and there is a lot of evidence. He had said you are an anarchist. An anarchist and a terrorist are much more similar,” Javadekar said while addressing media.
Javadekar’s statement comes a few days after the Election Commission issued a notice to Parvesh Verma for his remark about Kejriwal.
Gathered by Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari and Union minister Anurag Thakur, Javadekar said Kejriwal “stayed a night at the Moga residence of Khalistan Commando Force chief Gurinder Singh during the Punjab Assembly polls”.
“Kejriwal knew it was a militant’s residence. Still, he stayed there. How much more evidence does he needs?” he questioned.
Further, the senior BJP leader said the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was supporting protests at Shaheen Bagh, where he again claimed that slogans of “Assam ko azadi”, “Jinnah wali azadi” were chanted. “Backing such slogans is also terrorism”.
Javdekar alleged that Kejriwal stood with Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), where “anti-India slogans were raised and did not grant sanction to prosecute those who chanted the slogans”.
Javdekar also added “On January 26, Kejriwal threatened that he would stop their prosecution. How much more evidence do you want? The people of national capital now know that you are a big liar you are an anarchist and sympathize with terrorists. He is supporting Shaheen Bagh, JNU, the slogans that are chanted there and all such anarchists. He is surely a terrorist. This is your real face, no matter how innocent you are,”.
