After Kejriwal, Owaisi will also chant Hanuman Chalisa, says Kapil Mishra

Kapil Mishra, in an interview, said that after Kejriwal even Asaduddin Owaisi will start chanting Hanuman Chalisa if the “majority” stands united.

New Delhi| BJP leader said that even AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi will chant the Hanuman Chalisa if the “majority” stands united. Kapil Mishra, a candidate from Delhi’s Model Town constituency, who has already been warned by the Election Commission for his provocative slogans on Tuesday made yet another statement that stirred controversy.

Mishra, who was banned from the campaigning for 48 hours after he equated Delhi polls with India vs Pakistan contest, took to Twitter on Tuesday and wrote: “Kejriwal has started reading Hanuman Chalisa..Now Owaisi will also start reading it.”

However, Kapil Mishra did not explain the ’20 per cent’ vote bank he was referring to.

This was in reference to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal reciting Hanuman Chalisa when he was asked if he was a Hanuman Bhakt during an interview.

He wrote as he called for ‘unity’, “This is the power of our unity. We should remain united and vote as one force.”

Last week the Election Commission had imposed a 48-hour campaigning ban on Kapil Mishra, who is a BJP candidate from Delhi’s Model Town constituency over his controversial tweets.

The EC ban came after Kapil Mishra his tweets from January 22 and 23. Kapil Mishra had compared the Delhi elections on February 8 to a fight between India and Pakistan.

“Delhi mein chote chote Pakistan bane (Number of mini Pakistan has been created in Delhi)”, “Shaheen Bagh mein Pakistan ki entry”, “India Vs Pakistan February 8 Delhi”, and AAP and Congress have created Shaheen Bagh like Pakistan are some of the contents in the tweets the EC order referred to while banning Kapil Mishra.

He was also the BJP leader who first chanted the slogans of “desh ke gaddaron ko, goli maaro s***on ko” at a pro-CAA rally, asking to shoot protesters objecting to the new citizenship law.
