PM Modi Addressed the nation on the ongoing Coronavirus epidemic, explaining the measures that are being taken by the central government.
New Delhi| Prime Minister Modi addressed the country on the ongoing Coronavirus crisis. Here are the key points of the address-
- The whole world is suffering through an unprecedented trouble
- For the last two months, we have been listening to the news regarding coronavirus from all over the world. The 130 crore people of India have faced this difficulty with courage.
- It is necessary for every Indian citizen to stay alert.
- Whenever I have asked for something, the citizens have never let me down.
- I request 130 crore citizens of India- I want some upcoming weeks of yours, some time from you.
- It’s been noticed in worse affected countries that after initial days the cases shot up suddenly.
- Some countries took the necessary decisions and controlled the situation by isolating the maximum people.
- We are a developing country with 130 crore population. It is not an easy challenge for us.
- It is wrong to consider that this epidemic will not affect India.
- We have to maintain two things- resolution and patience.
- We will have to follow all the instructions given by the state and central government.
- The only mantra that works during such an epidemic is- ‘We are healthy, the world is healthy’
- Patience means to avoid gathering, practice social distancing.
- To think you’ll be safe even if you roam in markets, on streets, then it is wrong for you and others.
- In the upcoming weeks, go out of houses if very necessary.
- I repeat again, 60-65 years old people should not go out of houses.
- In times of wars, towns had a complete blackout. In many places, drills were conducted to perform blackout.
- I demand your support for ‘Janata Curfew’. On 22 March, from 7 AM to 9 PM, citizens should follow Janata Curfew. No citizens should come out of houses, roam in markets.
- I appeal to all state governments that they should ensure the Junta Curfew is imposed.
- It is time to test how ready India is in times of the epidemic.
- Doctors, nurses, cleaning staff, police, journalists, transport employees, home delivery people have been serving people in these difficult times. they are vulnerable to the risk of infection as well. they are still doing their duties. We should also congratulate these people on 22nd March. On 22, At 5 PM we should stand at our door, balconies for 5 minutes and clap for these people and show our gratitude for them.
- In order to avoid overburdening our health system, we should avoid routine checkups.
- This epidemic is also affecting our economy very badly. Under Finance Minister, we have decided to form a Covid-19 economic response task force. This task force will analyze the situation and will take decisions.
- Rich should take care of the expenses of servants, domestic help during this epidemic.
- Basic grocery supply will not be stopped, it is available in an adequate amount. I request citizens to not hoard grocery products.
- I am sure that all citizens will play our duties at such times.
- We have to use all our powers to protect ourselves from coronavirus.
- Let’s all come together, let’s save ourselves, let’s save India, let’s save the world.
