Amidst the heated campaigning by political parties ahead of the first phase of Lok Sabha election, Congress party today released its manifesto. The manifesto termed as ‘Hum Nibayange’ included the minimum income plan (NYAY) special budgets for Farmers, spending 6 percent of GDP on the education sector.
The 5 Major promises included in Congress Manifesto today include:
- NYAY Scheme – Garibi Par War: Promising Rs 72,000 per year to 5 crores familes poor families of the country.
- 22 lakh government vacancies will be filled till 2020. 10 lakh jobs in panchayats. Entrepreneurs won’t need any permission for starting business in 3 years. 150 days of work gauranteed under NREGA.
- A separate budget for farmers. Loan default can’t be treated as a criminal offence but a civil offence
- 6% of GDP to be spent on education, No to private insurance companies and public health to be strengthened
- National security and internal security
