Madhya Pradesh: Government ask Madarsas to hold Independence rally; send videos as proof

Bhopal | The Shivraj Singh Chauhan led Madhya Pradesh government has asked Madarsas all over the state to hold Independence day rally on 15 August and send videos to the State Madarsas board as proof.

In an issued statement dated August 7, the Madhya Pradesh government’s general administration board has organised a competition for the Madarsas under the title ‘Paigam-e–Mohabbat’ where the best rally, decided by the board based on the videos received, would be rewarded. However, the board has not made it mandatory for other schools to send video’s of the morning procession to other schools.

Speaking to media, Madhya Pradesh Madarsa Board chairman Syed Imad Uddin said, “Every madrasa has to hoist the national flag on Independence Day and take out a rally to spread the message of love and brotherhood among people of different communities. This year, we have asked the madrasas to invite people from all communities to take part in the rally.”

Syed Uddin further clarified that order to shoot videos “has nothing to do with any evidence to prove our patriotism”. “It is (being asked) so that the best rally could be judged.”
