Maharashtra: 13 and ‘Special 26’ formula for ShivSena-BJP?

It is clear that BJP is not ready to give up the post of the Chief Minister, Home Minister, Finance Minister, Urban Development and Revenue to ShivSena.

Mumbai| Devendra Fadnavis was elected as the BJP leader today. “Do not believe the rumours, the government of Mahayuti will be formed in the next five years,” Fadnavis said while addressing the newly-elected MLAs. In this meeting, Devendra Fadnavis has once again been named as the Chief Minister.

According to sources, the BJP has offered to give ShivSena the deputy chief minister post and three other ministeries. The entire state has taken notice of the role that the ShivSena will play in the BJP’s offer. BJP has kept the post of Chief Minister and three important ministeries. There is a clear picture that the BJP is not ready to give up the post of the Chief Minister, Home Minister, Finance Minister, Urban Development and Revenue to ShivSena.

There is a tussle going on between ShivSena and BJP over the government formation. ShivSena said at a press conference that the formula for the Chief Minister post was “50:50”. ShivSena MP Sanjay Raut issued a warning to BJP saying that the Chief Ministerial post was the right of the Shiv Sena, as decided. He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uddhav Thackeray, the allies of the Shiv Sena party, after the election of Fadnavis as BJP’s legislature party leader.
