The Opposition INDIA bloc in Maharashtra has reached a seat-sharing agreement for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT) faction will contest 21 seats, with Congress vying for 17 seats and the Nationalist Congress Party led by Sharad Pawar contesting 10 seats. After weeks of negotiations, Shiv Sena (UBT) secured Sangli, while Congress gained Bhiwandi, with Mumbai North traditionally retained by Shiv Sena handed over to Congress.
