Mamata Banerjee to attend PM Modi’s oath-taking ceremony

New Delhi | Amid political conflict with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will be attending the swearing-in ceremony of PM Modi on May 30th.

Responding to the question whether she will be attending PM Modi’s oath-taking ceremony or not, Banerjee said,” I have spoken to other Chief Ministers also. Since it is a ceremonial program we thought of attending it.Yes I will go.”

Since the beginning of Lok Sabha election, West Bengal Cheif Minister had been at a constant tussle with BJP, PM Modi and Amit Shah. Both TMC and BJP have alleged themselves for creating violence during the Lok Sabha polls in the State.

Violence between supporters of both these parties during the 7th phase of Lok Sabha led the Election commission to end the election campaign in West Bengal a day before the other states.
