MEA Sushma Swaraj calls all-party meeting today after India carried out air strikes in PoK

New Delhi | Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj today has called for an all-party meeting today at 5 pm to brief about the Air strike operation carried out by the Indian Air Force where 12 IAF Mirage 2000 aircraft dropped 1000 kg bombs on the terror camps in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) across the Line of Control (LOC) in Pakistan

Earlier a Cabinet Committee on Security meeting was held at the residence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the Indian Air Force carried out air strikes in Pakistan. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman were present at the meeting. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and other top officials of the prime minister’s office and the security apparatus were present at the meeting, official sources said.

Indian Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale also held a press briefing informing about entire operation carried by the IAF. Gokhale informed.” India conducted a major preemptive strike on Jaish-e-Mohammed’s biggest camp early on Tuesday to prevent suicide attacks being planned by the Pakistan-based terror group, killing a large number of terrorists and trainers.”

A large number of JeM terrorists, trainers, senior commanders and group of jehadis were eliminated in the operation, the foreign secretary told the media, hours after news broke out that IAF Mirage aircraft were deployed to unleash a wave of bombings on terror camps.
