New Delhi| Famous Bollywood singer Mika Singh is no new to controversy. In the latest one, he has been banned by the Film Body. This ban has been imposed on him after his performance in Pakistan. The All India Cine Workers Association announced on Tuesday that Mika will be banned.
However, it is not only Mika Singh in trouble. The statement issued All India Cine Workers’ Association said that anyone goes against the ban and works with Mika, he/she will also face legal action.
“When the tension between the countries is at the peak, Mika Singh puts money above the nation’s pride,” the film association said.
The association also sought the intervention of Information and Broadcasting ministry in the matter.
Why is Mika Singh being banned?
Bollywood singer Mika Singh performed in Pakistan’s Karachi in the past which led to a massive uproar. His performance comes at a time when Pakistan and India are at loggerheads over Abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. While on one hand he faced protests and trolling on social media from across the country, now, strict action is being taken against him.

On August 8, Mika Singh performed in Karachi at a Mehendi ceremony. It is said that the celebration was organized by Adnan Assad, considered close to former President of Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf. Some reports also say that this party was attended by top ISI officials and members of India’s most wanted Dawood Ibrahim’s family.
General Pervez Musharraf’s relative Asad had organized a ‘Mika Singh Night’ at his daughter Celina’s mehndi ceremony. The event was organized at Defense House Authority (DHA), Beach Avenue, 23, Phase-8, not far from the Karachi residence of D Company members Anees Ibrahim and Chhota Shakeel.
