MLAs Rushed Ahead Of Rajya Sabha Polls: The Deal Within Resorts- Jets and Yoga

Parties eyeing each Rajya Sabha seat in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Rajasthan to fight bone and tooth to secure access to seats. 

New Delhi: In an attempt to ensure Rajya Sabha seats in Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Karnataka and Haryana parties have begun to flock to resorts in an attempt to resolve any possible hindrances ahead of the Rajya Sabha Polls tomorrow.

Maharashtra

For the six hanging seats here, ruling party Shiv Sena is pushing candidates Sanjay Raut and Sanjay Pawar. In a move to ensure favour in agreement, the MLAs in Maharashtra were moved to a resort yesterday to avoid any possible roadblocks.

Ahead of the polls, office bearers and legislators of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), Nationalist Congress Party and Congress were also moved to resorts to lock their selections. While opposition BJP has fielded three favourites Dhananjay Mahadik, Anil Bonde and Union Minister Piyush. Congress looks to field Imran Pratapgarhi and NCP, Praful Patel.

Rajasthan

An unnamed resort in Udaipur on the 2nd of June hosted the Rajasthan MLAs of Congress. The MLA’s who met previously at the same resort for their brainstorming session titled chintan shivir, will move back to Jaipur this evening on a special flight. The legislators will not be separated until Friday morning.

On the outskirts of Jaipur, BJP MLAs undertook a special training camp on the etiquettes of voting correctly. The group was seen doing Yoga at the same resort at the early hours of morning, the camp will stay together until Friday morning.

Subhash Chandra, BJP-backed independent candidate has claimed he will ensure thoroughfare victory hinting at four Rajasthan Congress votes.

Karnataka

The four seats in Karnataka contested by 6 candidates is a viable hotspot for last-minute road crossings and backbiting. The BJP has selected three candidates in the face of the unified threat by the JDS and Congress who are yet to reach an agreement as both parties contest for the same seat.

The JDS ahead of the polls has moved its MLAs to a resort in Whitefield, the party with 32 legislators await 20 more later today, to join in the election camp.

Haryana

Meanwhile in Chandigarh’s famous Oberoi Sukhvilas Spa Resort the ruling BJP-JJP duo has called for all their MLAs to discuss strategies to retaliate the Congress camp in a resort in Chattisgarh’s Raipur. The alliance has also extended their invite to six independent MLAs.

Sources claim that Congress MLAs will be summoned to Delhi in a chartered flight this evening to the Rajasthan Bhavan and Chhatisgarh Bhavan overnight and ferried to  Chandigarh in a Volvo bus tomorrow morning

Haryana’s 90 member battle ground will witness a strong battle that includes the 40 MLAs of BJP, 31 from Congress, and JJP with their 10; the battle will also include seven independent candidates from both Haryana Lokhit Party and Indian National Lok Dal.
