“Modi govt asking unemployed youth to watch moon mission,” Rahul Gandhi’s jibe on Chandrayaan 2

Latur: On Sunday Congress senior leader and member of parliament Rahul Gandhi attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government at the Centre at a rally in Maharashtra’s Latur ahead of the assembly election. In a rally, Rahul Gandhi brought up the moon mission to attack the government, saying that it tried to distract the attention of the people from the core issues.

Yesterday Rahul Gandhi was addressing a rally at Ausa in Maharashtra’s Latur district for the upcoming state polls. Maharashtra is going to polls on October 21. The votes will be counted and the result will be declared on October 24.

In reference to ISRO’s recent lunar mission, Chandrayaan-2, the Congress leader said when the youth is asking for jobs, the government tells them to watch the moon. He also sought to know if Modi, during his recent meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, asked the latter about the 2017 Doklam standoff.

Rahul Gandhi was referring to the incursion of Chinese troops into the Indian territory in 2017. He added, “It is not Make in India but Make in China.”

Rahul Gandhi also said, “When youth ask for jobs, the government tells them to watch the Moon and Chandrayaan. The media, PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to distract people’s attention from core issues.”

Gandhi also added that while the government keeps on speaking about Article 370, Chandrayaan, it, he said, is silent on the problems that are rising in the country.

Rahul Gandhi raised the questions “Who got the benefit of demonetization? Nirav Modi ran away abroad and this government is silent. PM Narendra Modi says ‘hang me if the demonetization did not benefit anyone’ but who got the benefit of it?

“Rahul Gandhi said that, “Sending a rocket to the Moon would not put food in the stomachs of the people of Maharashtra.”

Rahul Gandhi attacking Media and said that it, is too silent on the farmers’ distress and the loss of jobs in the country. Rahul Gandhi also alleged that Rs 5.5 lakh crore debt of “15 rich people” was promised by the Narendra Modi government.

In last he said the objective of demonetization and implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) was to take money from pockets of the poor and give it to the rich only rich people.
