Mumbai| The rebel Congress-JDS MLAs from Karnataka will now be shifted to Goa. According to sources, after 2 days of stay in Mumbai, the rebel Karnataka MLAs will move to the neighboring state Goa. The MLAs were moved to Mumbai on Saturday.
On Saturday, the crisis hit the Congress-JDS coalition in Karnataka which was hanging by a thread. As many as 12 MLAs from both the parties resigned. They submitted their resignation to the speaker of the assembly. However, as the speaker was not available at the moment, they left the resignation by the Speaker’s staff. A few Days ago, Karnataka Congress MLA Anand Singh had also resigned. Out of these 12 MLAs, nine are from Congress and 3 from JDS.

Ten of these rebel MLAs flew down to Mumbai on Saturday. They had camped in Mumbai’s Sofitel hotel. Some Maharashtra BJP leaders were also spotted in the hotel. However, BJP has denied any role in luring the MLAs. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today in Lok Sabha said that Rahul Gandhi is to be blamed for the Karnataka crisis and the BJP has no role in it.
Meanwhile, to contain the matter, CM HD Kumaraswamy and the Congress state leadership is pulling all the stops. To make way for the rebel MLAs, all 22 Congress ministers resigned from the cabinet. They submitted their resignation to Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President Dinesh Gundu Rao. Hours later, all JDS ministers also resigned from the cabinet. However, the rebel MLAs seem still adamant on their decision to resign.

The state BJP has also planned protests across the state demanding the dissolution of a minority government led by Kumaraswamy.
