Noida| Amidst the polling for the first phase of 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, the ‘NaMo’ food packets being distributed at the polling booths in Noida have created a stir. On Thursday morning, the police officials deployed on the poll duty outside the polling stations in Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Buddha Nagar Constituency were spotted with food packets written ‘NaMo Foods’ on it.
The food packets were reportedly distributed outside the Noida Sector-15 club premises.
Several voters raised the question whether the distribution of NaMo Food packets amounts to a poll code violation. It is still unclear who ordered the distribution of these food packets.
Uttar Pradesh CEO L Venkateshwarlu has sought a report from Gautam Buddha Nagar DM over the NaMo food packets.
