Narendra Modi helped Nirav Modi to convert black money to white: Jignesh Mewani

Drawing a reference to the famous fable of Alif Laila and 40 Thieves, Jignesh Mewani tweeted alleging that PM Modi helped Nirav Modi to convert his black money into white.

The ghost of 11, 400 crores PNB scam by billionaire diamantaire Nirav Modi does not seem to stop haunting the Modi government. While the opposition parties are cornering the government over the absconding defaulter, Gujarat MLA and Dalit leader Jignesh Mewani alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had links with Nirav Modi.

Drawing a reference to the famous fable of Alif Laila and 40 Thieves, Jignesh Mewani tweeted alleging that PM Modi helped Nirav Modi to convert his black money into white. He tweeted, тАЬNirav Modi had deposited 90 crores rupees in his bank before demonetization.тАЭ Taking a dig at PM ModiтАЩs тАШMann Ki BaatтАЩ, he said, тАЬIt meant that PM Modi told his Mann Ki Baat to the 40 Thieves before demonetization.тАЭ

Jignesh Mewani tweeted it with a hashtag BJP Loan Jihad. He also shared a report along with the tweet. According to the report, NCP Member of Parliament Majid Memon had alleged that Nirav Modi deposited 90 crores in cash in his bank before PM Modi announced Demonetization on November 8. He had further asked, тАЬWhat does it signify?тАЭ

Recently, PM Modi had broken his silence on PNB scam and said that his government will not tolerate the loot of public money and strict action will be taken against the accused. Reiterating Finance Minister Arun JaitleyтАЩs stance, he even said that the auditors and policymakers should be more dedicated towards their work of pointing out financial irregularities.

On Sunday, PM Modi also attended Run for New India event organized in Surat. Taking a sharp jibe at the event, Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti leader said, тАЬNirav Modi won 1stplace with rupees 11,500 crores from the government in the Run for New India event organized in Surat, Vijay Mallya stood second and the government awarded rupees 9000 crores whereas Lalit Modi stood third with 2000 crores rupeesтАЩ award.
