Maharashtra Cabinet portfolio announced; Ajit Pawar gets finance ministry

Deputy CM Ajit Pawar has been allotted Finance ministry whereas Anil Deshmukh has been allotted Home Ministry.

 

Mumbai| After days of suspense over Maharashtra cabinet portfolio, the wait is finally over. The Uddhav Thackeray-led Maharashtra govt on Sunday announced the final portfolio distribution.

Earlier, it was reported that there are fissures in the MahaVikasAghadi alliance over sharing of cabinet posts. As per the latest list, Uddhav Thackeray is in charge of General Administration, Information and Technology, Public Relations, Law and Judiciary and any other department not allotted to any other Minister.

Deputy CM Ajit Pawar has been allotted Finance ministry whereas Anil Deshmukh has been allotted Home Ministry. MPCC president Balasaheb Thorat has been given charge of Revenue Ministry. Former CM Ashok Chavan will be taking care of Public Works department.
