RSS files FIR against booklet featuring Mohan Bhagwat’s photo titled ‘new Constitution’

The FIR reads, “A particular religion will be dominant”, “woman and untouchables will not have right to vote”, among others

 

AHMEDABAD| On Friday An RSS office-bearer filed a complained against unidentified people for making a booklet viral on social media contains the picture of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. The FIR has been filed with Ahmedabad cyber cell, the booklet name “New Constitution of India” holds the face of Mohan Bhagwat.

Dinesh Vala, a lawyer and admin of the RSS office in Maninagar has filed the FIR. According to Mr Vala, he received the booklet in a PDF form on his WhatsApp number. After going through the content he realized that the writing is “insulting and provocative.

The FIR reads, the PDF falsely claims that under the “new constitution” a religion is targeted. “A particular religion will be dominant”, “woman and untouchables will not have right to vote”, among others.

The FIR reads that the creator of this booklet is trying to undermine the importance of the Constitution and divide society on the basis of religion and caste. It says that someone is trying to take the country towards anarchy. It also says that the content of the booklet has insulted Mohan Bhagwat and RSS as an organisation.

FIR states the file reads, “this is the concise form of the constitution. A detailed constitution is being prepared. People can send their suggestion before March 15, 2020, to Prime Minister Office, New Delhi. One copy will have to be sent to the RSS office in Nagpur, Maharashtra and every good suggestion will get a reward of Rs10,000.”
