New Delhi | A special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court on Thursday rejected an application filed by Pragya Singh Thakur demanding permanent exemption from weekly hearings in Malegaon blast case.
Pragya Thakur is a first time MP in the Lok Sabha on a BJP ticket from Bhopal.
Pragya Thakur cited her MP status and claimed that she has to attend the everyday meetings in the Parliament. She sought exemption from her weekly court appearance due to her daily affairs.
Sadhvi Pragya took oath in Lok Sabha on Monday, after winning against Veteran Congress leader Digvijaya Singh by more than one lakh votes.
She is prime accused in Malegaon blast case of Maharashtra in which six people were killed more than 10 years ago.
