This is not Government’s floor test, it’s forced test of Congress’ so-called allies: PM Modi

New Delhi | Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday while speaking on the No-confidence motion in Lok Sabha urged the all the parties to reject the motion that has been moved in the Lok Sabha.

PM Modi questioned the motive behind the No-confidence motion saying “If you were not prepared for the debate why did you bring the motion? Why were you trying to delay the motion”.”I was shocked that they wanted to postpone the debate,ā€ said PM Modi. He further added that ā€œIf you wanted to postpone it, why did you bring the motion”.

He further added that” This motion has not been brought unknowingly or out of overconfidence, but because of arrogance”. Commenting on the motive of the No-confidence motion, PM Modi in a poetic manner said, “Na manjhi na rehbar, na haq mein hawayen, hai kashti bhi jarjar, ye kaisa safar hai.”

PM Modi further that,”What we saw among members of the Opposition was sheer arrogance. The only thing they have to say- remove Modi”. “To remove one Modi, see who all they are trying to bring together,” he said while taking a dig at oppositions unity. “This is not a floor test of the Government, this is a forced test of Congress’ so-called allies,” he added.

Speaking about Rahul Gandhi’s friendly gesture after his speech, PM Modi said,” In the morning, the voting was not over, the debate was also not over one member comes running to me saying- Utho Utho Utho..What is his hurry to come to power? Let me tell this member it is the people who elected us. That is how we have come here”.

“We are here because we have the blessings of 125 cr Indians. We are not here for selfish interests. We have served the nation with the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, said PM Modi before counting the Central government’s achievement.

Addressing the lower house about the achievement of the government PM Modi said, We have the honour of working towards electrification of 18,000 villages that were in the dark for 70 years. Most of these villages were situated in Eastern India and the Northeast”. He further added that his government has opened bank accounts for the poor. “Earlier, the doors of the banks never opened for the poor. Women are leading a smoke-free life due to Ujjwala Yojana,” he added.

PM Modi also spoke about the Central government’s prime healthcare scheme, He said, “It is this Government that is bringing a scheme like Ayushman Bharat that will give best quality healthcare to the poor”.

Speaking about government’s work on the economic front, PM Modi said, “By promoting ease of doing business, government is reducing the cost of doing business”. “India is now the 6th largest economy in the world, people are celebrating that,” he added.

Taking a jibe on the Congress party, PM Modi said, “Congress has no faith in the ECI, Judiciary, in the RBI, in the International Agencies. They have confidence in nothing”. ” One of the leaders spoke about Doklam. The same leader, who believed the Chinese Ambassador over our forces. What have we come to? Everything does not merit a childish conduct,” he added.

Commenting on Rahul Gandhi’s Statement on the Rafale deal, PM Modi said, Due to one careless allegation in the House on Rafale, both nations had to release statements”. “My appeal to the Congress is please do not bring politics in national security,” he added.

PM Modi also spoke about the opposition’s allegation of fake surgical. He said, “You called the surgical strike a Jumla Strike. You can abuse me as much as you want. Stop insulting the Jawans of India. I will not tolerate this insult to our armed forces”.

Responding to Congress leader Sonia Gandhi’s statement of having enough numbers for the No-confidence motion, PM Modi said, “I read a statement- “who says we do not have the numbers.” See her (Sonia Gandhi) arrogance. I was reminded about 1999 that she (Sonia Gandhi)stood outside Rashtrapati Bhavan and said- we have 272 and more are joining us. She (Sonia Gandhi) destabilised Atal Ji’s Government and never formed one herself.

“What did the Congress do to Charan Singh Ji, what did they do to Chandra Shekhar Ji, what did they do to Deve Gowda Ji, what did they do to IK Gujral Ji, PM Modi spoke while accusing the Congress party of buying votes.

Responding to the allegation of discrimination against the state of Andhra Pradesh PM Modi said, “Atal Ji created 3 states- Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. It was done peacefully. These states are prospering. The Congress divided Andhra Pradesh and their conduct then was shameful”. “NDA Government is committed towards the development of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana,” he added.

PM Modi accused Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of playing internal politics with the YSR Congress. He assured the people of Andhra Pradesh that the central government will keep working for them. He said we will do everything possible for the development of Andhra Pradesh”.

PM Modi also addressed the issue of NPA problem. He said, “Much before Internet Banking, Congress Party invented Phone Banking and this caused the NPA mess. A phone call would get loans for their cronies and the nation suffered”.
