“Not only Pankaja Munde, many BJP leaders are in our contact”: Sanjay Raut

Pankaja Munde in her Facebook post said that she will make an announcement regarding her future plans at Gopinathgarh on December 12.

 

Mumbai| ShivSena MP Sanjay Raut today claimed that “Not only Pankaja Munde but many leaders are in touch with the ShivSena”. His statement came when he was asked about the cryptic post of Pankaja Munde where she had said that she will make a big announcement on December 12. Reacting to this, Raut said that many people were on the path of joining ShivSena and would know about Pankaja Munde on December 12, After Raut’s statement, speculations are rife about Pankaja Munde’s entry to ShivSena.

The speculation grew stronger as the day after the cryptic FB post, she removed BJP from her Twitter profile. Munde was former Rural Development Minister, however, she lost to her cousin Dhananjay Munde in Parli during the recently concluded Assembly Elections.

BJP leader Chandrakant Patil denies the reports:

The state BJP senior leader Chandrakant Patil has refuted the news. He said after Raut’s claim, he called Pankaja Munde. “Pankaja Tai told me that she has no plans of joining ShivSena and the reports are incorrect,” he told reporters.

Pankaja Munde’s FB post:

Pankaja Munde in her Facebook post said that she will make an announcement regarding her future plans at Gopinathgarh on December 12. She also appealed her supporters to reach Gopinathgarh on December 12 for the “Big Announcement”. December 12 is the Birth Anniversary of Late Gopinath Munde. Gopinathgarh is a memorial of her father which is situated in Beed district.

The BJP leader said that she will devise a strategy on the future course of action within the next 8-10 day. Pankaja Munde wrote in Marathi on Facebook, “Given the current political scenario of the state, the time has come to think and chart the way forward. I want 8-10 days to introspect. We must decide on the future journey.”
