Now, AAP to send counter Defamation notice to Gautam Gambhir

Kejriwal responding to the controversy said that BJP cannot tolerate achievements made by women. Referring to the pamphlet he said, “This is the mentality of BJP.”

New Delhi| A day after being served a defamation notice by the BJP’s East Delhi candidate Gautam Gambhir, the AAP has decided to file a counter defamation suit. Talking to a news agency, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the party will not leave the matter hanging and said that they will file a defamation case against Gautam Gambhir.

The party on Thursday had accused Gambhir of being involved in the distribution of pamphlets including derogatory remarks against Atishi Marlena. Atishi is AAP’s East Delhi candidate who is locking horns at the ballot box with BJP’s Gautam Gambhir. However, Gambhir denied the allegations and said that Arvind Kejriwal had made up the controversy for electoral gains. He also said that if proven guilty, he will quit politics but will Kejriwal do the same if he is not proven guilty.

Gambhir even tweeted that he is ashamed to have a Chief minister like Arvind Kejriwal.

Kejriwal responding to the controversy said that BJP cannot tolerate achievements made by women. Referring to the pamphlet he said, “This is the mentality of BJP, even today BJP leaders are saying the same things that were written in the pamphlet. They have filed defamation case against us after defaming us.”

Defending Atishi, he said that she is a highly educated and accomplished woman. “Her work has been great in the field of education which is being discussed worldwide,” Kejriwal said.
