‘Operation Garuda’ might be a threat to Andhra Pradesh: Chandrababu Naidu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today on the fourth anniversary of the bifurcation of the coastal state raised a concern that Telugu actor Sivaji flagged ‘Operation Garuda might be a threat for Andhra Pradesh. He alleged that it’s an attempt of BJP to destabilize the state. “The YSR Congress and Jana Sena Party were consciously helping the BJP in furthering its political agenda in the State,” he added.

Addressing the ‘Nava Nirmana Deeksha’ marked as the Appointed Day when the unified Andhra Pradesh was divided in 2014, Chandrababu Naidu criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for going back on promises made to the State at the time of bifurcation and warned that his party would pay the price for it.

“The BJP could not back off from its responsibility to give hand-holding to the State having cooperated with the Congress in the one-sided passage of the A.P. Reorganisation Bill in Parliament. But, it (the BJP) has blatantly disregarded the assurances given by it, for reasons of political expediency.” he further added.

He encouraged the citizens that people should be with the government to fight against the injustice meted to the State.
