Lucknow | BSP Chief Mayawati has accused BJP Chief Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of “planned targeting” Mamata Banerjee.
“It is clear that PM Modi, Amit Shah and their leaders are targeting Mamata Banerjee, it’s planned targeting. This is a very dangerous and unjust trend and one which doesn’t suit the PM of the country,” Mayawati said.
Mayawati also questioned Election Commission’s decision of banning the election campaigning from 10 PM. She said that it was unfair, as PM Modi would be done with his two rallies by then.
“Election Commission has banned campaigning in West Bengal, but from 10 pm today just because PM has two rallies in the day. If they had to ban then why not from today morning? This is unfair and EC is acting under pressure,” Mayawati said.
Yesterday, in the wake of the violence that erupted in BJP Chief Amit Shah’s rally on Tuesday, EC announced that all the election campaigning will be put to stop from 10 PM on Thursday.
