PM Modi hugs Manmohan Singh at Kartapur Corridor event in a warm gesture

Manmohan Singh also said that the corridor may begin a fresh chapter in India-Pakistan relations that were soured this year after the Pulwama terror attack.

New Delhi| In a surprising gesture Prime Minister Narendra Modi hugged former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during the inauguration ceremony of the Kartarpur Corridor. Manmohan Singh has been a constant critic of the Modi government. Even PM Modi in past has taken jibes at Singh. Thus the visit between the two came as a surprise.

Dr Manmohan Singh is one of the VIPs who were in the first batch of Jattha that left for Kartarpur. He also said that the corridor may begin a fresh chapter in India-Pakistan relations that were soured this year after the Pulwama terror attack.
