New Delhi | Prime Minister Narendra Modi today visited former President Pranab Mukherjee at his residence ahead of his oath-taking ceremony on May 30th.

Calling the meeting as an enriching experience PM Modi on his twitter wrote,” Meeting Pranab Da is always an enriching experience. His knowledge and insights are unparalleled. He is a statesman who has made an indelible contribution to our nation. Sought his blessings during our meeting today.”

It was in 2019 during the Narendra Modi led government when former President Pranab Mukherjee was honoured with India’s highest civilian awards Bharat Ratna. Mukherjee in 2018 became the first Congress leader to visit the RSS headquarters during the BJP ideologue’s annual function.

Earlier after registering a landmark victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, PM Modi also paid a visit to veteran BJP leaders L.K Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi.
