Priyanka Gandhi Vadra breaks silence on scrapping of Article 370

Sonbhadra | Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has finally opened up about Modi government’s move of revoking Article 370.

Speaking to reporters, she asserted that the manner in which Article 370 is revoked, is “unconstitutional”.

She said,” There are certain rules to be followed when such things are done. They have not been followed(in this case)”.

She further said that Congress party will always fight for the Constitution, and for the democracy.

“The collective opinion of the Congress party is my ONLY opinion on the matter,” she had earlier said.

While Karan Singh, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Milind Deora, RPN Singh and a few others had come out in support of the Centre’s move.

The Centre decided to scrap Article 370, the one which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcated the state into two Union Territories: Jammu and Kashmir, as well as Ladakh.

Criticisms and supports have been coming in ever since the move was announced.

Meanwhile, Priyanka Gandhi came to Sonbhadra in Uttar Pradesh to meet the victims of the massacre that claimed up to 10 lives in an internal clash of villages.

Priyanka spent over an hour talking to the local people, seeking information about the lack of development in the region and assured them that the Congress would always stand by them. She also met with the families of the victims and the ones injured in the clash.
