Rahul Gandhi to appear in Surat court in connection with the defamation case

A case was filed against Rahul Gandhi for saying “All Modis are thieves’ at a rally. There are two cases against him in Ahmedabad.

 

Surat| Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi will appear in defamation case on Thursday in Surat and Friday in Ahmedabad court. State in-charge of the party Rajiv Satav has claimed that such cases have been filed to harass Rahul. There are three defamation cases against Rahul in Gujarat. A case has been registered by BJP MLA Purnesh Modi in Surat.

At the same time, Congress leaders Ahmed Patel and Shakti Singh Gohil also reached here regarding Rahul’s appearance in Surat court. Patel said, “He has been summoned by the court, so he has come here. Let the law do its work. We will see how long the court decides. Whatever the judge says will be done there.”

A case was filed against Rahul Gandhi for saying “All Modis are thieves’ at a rally. There are two cases against him in Ahmedabad. Earlier, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi also filed a case against Rahul for calling him a ‘Modi thief’. In this case, he had appeared in Patna court.
