Senior Rajasthan BJP leader Ghanshyam Tiwari resigns

Jaipur | Veteran Rajasthan BJP leader and five-time MLA Ghanshyam Tiwari on Monday resigned from the party.

Tiwari who did not share a very good relationship with Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today sent his resignation to the Party president Amit Shah. A sitting MLA from Sanganer Assembly constituency even served as the education minister in the Rajasthan government.

Ghanshyam Tiwari will now join his son Akhilesh Tiwari’s newly formed ‘Bharat Vahini Party’ to contest the Assembly polls, which are slated to take place later this year.

In the last Rajasthan Assembly election, Ghanshyam Tiwari had won the Sanganer seat with a margin of 65350 votes. While addressing the press, the senior leader said,”The undeclared emergency is more dangerous than the actual emergency, I have seen both the rounds and I am resigning from the party to fight against it.”

Tiwari was earlier issued a show-cause notice by the BJP’s National Disciplinary Committee last year when he had accused the party saying that the party has become a haunt of mafios and sycophants and the dedicated loyalists and qualified people of the party are being removed from the party.
