Shiv Sena-JDU likely to get 2 cabinet berth in NDA’s 2nd term

New Delhi | Amid speculations of the who will get which ministry in the 2nd term of the Narendra Modi led Union Minister, sources have said that BJP allies Shiv Sena and Janta Dal-United are likely to get 2 cabinet berths.

Shiv Sena who won 18 seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra will be getting important ministries in the Union Cabinet along with Nitish Kumar led Janata Dal-United who won 16 seats in Bihar.

Shiv Sena in the 2014 NDA government had only 1 cabinet minister i.e Anant Geete who handled the Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises. BJP ally in Uttar Pradesh Apna Dal is also likely to get a ministerial position. In 2014 Apna Dal’s Anupriya Patel handled the Minister of State in the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. AIADMK is also be getting a ministerial position in the second Modi cabinet.

Another BJP ally in Bihar Pam Vilas Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) like 2014 will be inducted in the Modi Cabinet. Paswan handled the Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
